Navigate to the Payroll Cycles section.
Use the Active and Completed tabs to switch between in‑progress and finalized cycles.
Key columns:
Month: visual icon of the cycle period
Dates: start and end dates of the cycle
Entity: the legal entity associated with the cycle
Status: current cycle status
Cut‑off date: deadline for data submission
Net pay date: scheduled payment date
Lano uses 6 statuses to guide you through each payroll cycle:
1. Collecting changes (automatic): new cycles appear; await the cut-off date.
2. To download report (automatic/ action required from you): on cut-off, you get an email; the cycle moves here.
Go to To download report, and click Download report to retrieve the payroll data file.
3.To upload files (action required from you): Once you are ready and have processed the payroll for this cycle, you can upload required documents (Gross to Net, Liabilities, Payslips; additional documents optional) whenever ready. Click Share with Lano to proceed.
4.Under review (automatic): Lano reviews files. You can download any uploaded file at this stage.
5. To resolve issues (action required from you) : if issues are reported, you receive an email; newly uploaded files display an “Updated” badge; after re-sharing, the cycle returns to Under review.
6.Approved (automatic): upon final approvalby the client, the cycle moves to Completed
If Lano reports an issue you will receive an email and the cycle status changes to "To resolve issues".
You will also see it directly in your Dashboard, under "My tasks"
Replace the incorrect files on the cycle details page and click Share with Lano again.
Newly uploaded files (during the issue resolution) will include a badge to help distinguish updated files prior to re-sharing.
Once the files are resent, the cycle returns to "Under review".
Cut-off days and net pay dates are set by Lano administrators for each payroll cycle.
The cut-off day indicates the final deadline for all salary changes and documentation to be submitted; once this day arrives, the cycle status advances automatically to “To download report.”
The net pay date specifies when funds will be disbursed to employees.
While Lano follows standard industry practices for cut-off intervals and pay schedules, you can ask Lano administrators to customize individual dates per client or cycle to fit specific payroll calendars.
